After the events of last week I really needed a break. Going to Maiden Awakenings was just what the doctor ordered! I got to the ranch late Thursday night and was greeted by my husband with a big hug and kiss. D had been there since Monday, and I was very happy to see him. We got the truck unloaded and I made the rounds saying hello to friends and family. Some of these people I only get to see a few times a year. The last couple of festivals have not been a lot of fun for me so I decided on my drive down that this festival was going to be different. A positive attitude goes a long way! I got to spend sometime getting to know some people better like the amazing Char, Bekah and Ginger. These three women I have admired for a long time and I am glad I got the opportunity to spend time getting to know them.Deshawn and I got along all weekend long and really took time with each other which was WONDERFUL! I also got to spend some time with Julian, this guy amazes me and his friendship means the world to me. In all it was a fabulous weekend!
On a serious note I would like to say goodbye to a four legged friend Floyd. Floyd is Heather's beagle who sadly passed away. He was a good dog and I will miss his sweet little face. I know Heather is sad and I hope she knows that we love her and that Floyd is in a better place now, with no pain and a ton of doggie snacks!
I did go back to the Doctor when I got home from Austin as I promised. The good news is NO Surgery!! I still have some health issues that need to be addressed and I am working on that.Right now the plan is to continue with the diet and exercise, and I am also adding some relaxation stuff to relieve some of the stress I am feeling. I need to focus on taking care of myself, that is first...family, friends and school have to come second. That might sound selfish but I can't help my friends and family or do well in school if I am sick!
