Things are looking up...

I had two interviews yesterday. One with a facility in Garland that works directly with the Juvenile Probation Department and the other in Oak Cliff that is more of a Hospital setting. Both would give me the field experience I need but I am leaning towards the facility in Garland simply because they work with teenagers and that is who my target clientele is. I have to pass a background check and a drug test for both as well as get a CPR certification which I am doing this week.If all goes well I should be able to start clocking practicum hours by the middle of next week or the week after. It is going to be tight to get all 336 hours in but I think I can do it if I really put my nose to the grindstone so to speak!
On the weight loss thing...I have gone down two sizes and I think I have lost around 32 pounds. I have a weigh in this Friday so I will known then exactly how much I have lost since surgery. I feel good about the weight loss but I am still worried about my eating habits. I still have a tendency to want to eat over strong emotional stuff but I am working to change that. My health overall has been up and down, it seems that I have been suffering from colds and infections more than normal this winter so I am going to see my Doctor again this week to see what I can do to boost my immune system. I don't have the time to be sick! Onward and upward I go...wish me luck!
