I absolutely love going to the zoo. It is one of my favorite places in the world. If I could I would travel all over the country just going from zoo to zoo. My Dad used to tell me it was one our favorite places to go together and that we would walk around with me on his shoulders making animal sounds! When I became a Mom I couldn't wait to take my boys to the Dallas zoo, it quickly became a regular outing for us and I have the millions of pictures to prove it!. Dallas zoo isn't bad, but it's not my favorite. I have not been to many but I have had the good fortune to have seen the National zoo in DC and My favorite, the Seattle zoo. This week I got to enjoy the zoo with my beautiful sister Laura and her kids Tres an Mia. Tres spent a lot of time telling about the red bottom monkeys, and the African penguin named pinky. When I asked Mia what her favorite animal was she told me all of them without hesitation and that Tres favorite is the crocagator. Laura was very nice to let me use her camera since mine is broken, but I could tell it was hard for her to watch me take pictures without telling me what to take pictures of, and that I had just missed the perfect shot! We all had a great time! I was exhausted when I got home, it has been a long time since I had to walk around a zoo with a 4 and 5 year old, but I better get back in practice so I can keep up the family tradition when the twins get here!!
