I am so blessed to have such great friends in my life. Today my friend Michelle came and picked me up for a girls day out. This weekend is a tough one for me with Stephen's birthday being Monday so Michelle thought it would be nice if I got out of the house for awhile. I took it as a great oppurtunity to take some pictures. We first went out for a healthy lunch then headed to White Rock Lake in Dallas
. It was a beautiful day, not too hot, with a nice breeze. I have been wanting to add some water shots to my portfolio and today was perfect for that. I don't get to any lakes very often any more but when I was younger we used to spend alot of time with my Grandfather Stow at lake Erie in PA. He was a sailor and loved the water. He had a beautiful sailboat that we used to take out on the lake(when it wasn't frozen) and just cruise around all day. The sailboats today reminded me of him. After hanging out at the lake Michelle and I did some window shopping at the Borders bookstore by my house. We both share a love of books. Something we both got from our Grandmothers! It was a good afternoon! Thank you Michelle for sharing this great day with me!

Love your pictures, Lyn. Are you using a digitel? I'm glad you have a friend like Michele and I am glad you got out of the house. Exactly what was needed. I hope D and Sean do the same thing tomorrow. Celebrate your son and be joyful tomorrow for Stephen and for yourself.
