I lost a friend today. Actually she was family. Gayle was my sister's sister-in-law if that makes sense. I have known her for over twenty years. She passed away early this morning at Parkland Hospital. She leaves behind three adult children, Jay, Jessica, and Jeremy, two grandchildren and a whole lot of family that will miss her a great deal. My heart goes out to all of them, especially Norma, her Mother...I know the pain of loosing a child, it makes no difference how old that child is.I have lost too many people in my 44 years, Gayle was not that much older than me! I remember my Grandmother telling me once that the hardest thing about getting older is having to say goodbye to friends. I now know exactly what she meant.
