History

There are moments in History that stand out so much people refer to them as means of a time line. When I was younger the question was "Where were you the day John Lennon was shot?", then it became "where were you when the Challenger exploded," and then finally "where were you on 9/11?" today we can finally ask a question in reference to something Positive..."Where were you when President Obama took office?" I was watching on a big screen T.V with hundreds of other students on the Eastfield Campus. What a moment...what a truly amazing sight! I stood with tears in my eyes as President Obama took office and listened with hope in my heart as he deliverd one of the best political speeches I have ever heard. I am looking forward to seeing if this man can live up to his word and be the leader I hope he can be. We need strength and intelligence in office and I have faith in our new President. It is an awesome day in history and I am glad I was able to witness it.

I agree, Kiddo. Well said. Your Aunt and I watched the whole day and laughed and cried. It was wonderful. I know that changes won't happen overnight but I can be patient. I have already waited 8 years. I 'm glad you have him back with you all.
